So here's the deal. I will be tackling three climbs in three days with Macmillan Cancer Support in the spectacular Chamonix region of the French Alps, in the shadow of Mont Blanc.

This is one of the toughest hikes you can do! Yet It promises to be a physically challenging and hugely rewarding experience. It will make a big difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Since losing my Dad in November 2008 I'd wanted to do something extraordinary to raise a massive amount for Macmillan because of the amazing support they give people all around the UK.

I want to make sure their fantastic work continues so other people can feel the benefit of their compassion when it's needed most in their lives. Cancer now affects one in three people in the UK, so we all at sometime will be affected by it either directly or indirectly through family members, friends or loved ones.
