Story
In November 2016 my dad, John was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. He is being treated at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. In January he began chemotherapy treatment which resulted in his hair thinning pretty quickly. He decided that the best thing to do was to shave off what was left. In solidarity my brother, Dan joined him.
Now it is my turn!
I am currently studying for my Part 2 Architectural degree at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth. On 17th March 2017 I will be shaving my head, most probably in the bar!
I am going to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust which make wigs for children with cancer. I would also like to raise funds for the hospital treating my dad as he has had really excellent care there, which has including a three night stay on the Macmillan ward at the beginning of his chemotherapy.
If you prefer to donate to Cancer Research UK my dad's page is still open and you can use the link there.
