In November 2016 John was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.  In January he began chemotherapy treatment which has resulted in his hair thinning pretty quickly.  He has decided that the time has come to shave it off, and in solidarity Dan has offered to shave is head at the same time.  This seems the ideal oportunity to fundraise for Cancer Research UK, one of several excellent cancer charities.
