John's Sheffield Poem-a-thon for refugees and asylum seekers

Sheffield Poem-a-thon for refugees and asylum seekers · 2 April 2016
Personally I've benefitted enormously from the example of Tibetans who had to flee their homeland after the Chinese invasion. These people, despite adversity, maintained an unkillable sense of humour and have made much of their lives despite adversity. So my story is about the opportunity for enrichment that comes from cultural exchange. I'm sure that, given a little initial help, new settlers to the UK and to Sheffield will do the same.
