Story
Here is an extract from a letter written by the founders of the Bruno 200 cycle challenge, which explains what it's all about:
Dear Friends...
Our son Bruno was born and died in January 2012. Bruno has already and
will continue to have an impact on us and on our wider circle of family and
friends. To ensure a lasting tribute to him, we wish to do something positive.
We have therefore decided to raise a minimum of £600,000 for a bursary,
in Bruno's name, at Ampleforth College. The funds will be kept in endowment so
that each and every year they generate £30,000 to cover the cost of one student
in the school for that academic year. We have requested that the students
receiving Bruno's Bursary over the years be from a background most needing help
and support, the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people whose lives
could change forever as a result of such a bursary at Ampleforth.
With sincerest thanks,
Jozef & Vivian Mycielski and Team Bruno
