Story

Heyaa and a BIGG thankyou for coming onto my page! Means more than you could possibly realise!

Now this is where I tell you all why I feel its SO important to me and my family to raise money for the SDBTT.

On the 15th July 2010, I along with the rest of my family were devastated to lose my beautiful 19 year old cousin Christie to a rare brain cancer called Glioblastoma. It was a unbelievable heart breaking experience myself and my family had to go through but her amazing bravery, dignity and kindness left a permanent mark on all our hearts. My amazing cousin Christie was a fundraiser for the SDBTT and her older sister has raised thousands for this charity. Now I feel like I should do my bit, being inspired by others!

In August 2011 I will be facing my fear from heights by jumping from an aeroplane at 10,000 feet, freefalling to 5,000 feet in a tandem skydive to help raise money for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust. And I know as im falling through the sky Christie will be there next to me holding my hand.

Raising money isnt just important to me and my family but to thousands of other families too! - there are soo many people diagnosed with brain tumour every single year and every little bit we donate helps all those thousands of people for the better!

Just a few facts:

*BIGGEST killing cancer for children and for the under 40's.

*Brain tumour research receives LESS than 1% of all money donated to cancer research.

*Glioblastoma is the most AGGRESSIVE type of brain cancer.

*There are over 16,000 people every single year that are diagnosed with brain tumour.

I desperately need your help to raise £1000 or hopefully more for this cause by August 2011. Even if its just a few pennies / pennies make pounds!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
