Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page raising money for the MND Association, by sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. As some of you may know, my Mum was affected with Motor Neurone Disease for 7 years. She was diagnosed in 2004 when I was 6 years old. The doctors told her after being diagnosed that she had a maximum of 6 months to live past then, she battled on for 7 extra years and inspired many people along the way. Not only did she survive, she also taught at Buttsbury Junior School part time 3 days a week, all whilst being in a wheelchair with a respirator. This also didn't set her back in her motherly duties either, she still made me do my homework and was a rather strict mother in retrospect! Unfortunately my Mum lost her battle with Motor Neurone in 2010, when I was 12, but she has not stopped inspiring me and my family to be strong, kind and motivated like she was.

For this event, Luke Howlett, James Redgrave, George Curry, Sam Wright and I will be walking from just North of Glasgow to Fort William along the Western Highland Way. In total this should take around 5-6 days, however this route does include the tallest mountain in the British Isles, Ben Nevis, which we will also be ascending.

Any money that is donated by you will be going straight to the MND Association, who I know personally will change someone who is suffering from Motor Neurone's life. This charity helped me and my Dad care for Mum through all the hardship and they definitely deserve all the donations they can get.

Thank you for donating, I really appreciate it.

P.S (Please don't leave anonymous donations, because then I don't know who to thank, cheers)
