Following the success of the Paris Marathon in 2021 running on behalf of St Clare Hospice and Weston Homes I've decided to start 2023 off with a full 16 weeks of dedicated training to raise money for this worthy cause again. Chris Shaw will be completing 3 marathons and 2 half's across two months and i'll join him for the London Marathon and Hackney Half during this epic challenge.

I'm training with the goal of completing London in under 3 hours 5 minutes to qualify for the Boston Marathon. To achieve this in my second ever marathon might be asking too much but having such a goal will drive me to put the work in. 

St Clare Hospice provided a support network to my Mum as she tackled the day to day grief when we lost my Dad in early 2021 so it's a charity very close to my heart. 

The money raised will help St Clare Hospice continue to provide free, compassionate care and support to hundreds of adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border.

St Clare Hospice works one-to-one with the person affected with a terminal illness and supports their whole family, offering a wide range of services, providing physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual support. The hospice receives a limited amount of NHS funding, with the majority made up in donations and voluntary funding.

If I can stay healthy and injury free the plan is to put in around 1,233 KM / 766 miles in the build up to April 23rd. Any donations given throughout these miles will be greatly appreciated to really boost my morale.......running in the dark, cold nights of January and February will not be fun!
