Joe attempts the Great North Run!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page, hopefully I can persuade some of you to part with your hard-earned cash in order to support a fantastic cause!
On Boxing Day 2008, my Nan passed away after fighting multiple myeloma - an incurable bone marrow cancer - for over two years. All of our family were really close to Nan, so my Dad and I have decided to do the North Run in order to raise as much money as possible for Myeloma UK, the main charity that gives help and support to myeloma suffers and their families.
Little is known about myeloma because it accounts for only 1% of all cancers diagnosed in Great Britain. As a result, there is limited funding made available towards the costs of myeloma treatment, which can be very expensive.
You can read more about Myeloma UK at http://www.myeloma.org.uk
So I'm asking you all the dig deep to help me raise as much money as possible to support this great cause! All donations will be gratefully received, no matter how big or small - it will all help me slog my way through 13 miles knowing that everything I manage to raise will go to such a worthwhile charity.
Thanks for taking the time to read my page, below is some quick info on how the JustGiving site works
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
