Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

 

Soooo, I’ve signed up to take on the Petra Horse-Ride Challenge and right now I should be busy getting fit and toughening up particular parts of my anatomy, hmmm.  I will be riding approximately 35km a day over a week across the Jordanian dessert (I actually have a mini phobia of sand!).  It will be super hot and the ponies quite different to the ones I’m used to riding  back home, the distances longer and terrain much tougher and totally different to the local woodland I’m used to in Kent.  At the end of each day my horse and I (and the other 15 or so fund raisers) will be camping out under the stars, so no hot baths or comfy beds to ease those aching limbs.  Oddly enough, I can’t wait!

 

It will be a challenge but I’m so determined to raise as much money as I can for Marie Curie Cancer Care.  Marie Curie is an amazing charity that provides nursing care, absolutely free, to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, giving them the chance of dying at home with their families. Marie Curie also runs hospices across the UK, works to support bereaved families, and funds research into the treatment, causes and prevention of cancer.

Please please dig deep and donate, this is such a worthy cause and one very close to my heart.
