Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now.
This isn't something I am doing on a whim. In the last 15 months my life has been touched by cancer, not once but twice. In September 2012 my mum was diagnosed and treated for a renal cancer and she is now doing really well. Sadly, in November of 2013 my dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. Unfortunately he was taken from us just 3 weeks later. The shock and anger I felt has now been replaced by a burning desire to do something to help.
Anyone who knows me (as the social butterfly that I am) will know that this will not be an easy challenge - but do it I will - and I will earn every penny you choose to sponsor me. You can be safe in the knowledge that the good people of Cancer Research will spend your money wisely and between us all, if we can help save one daughter from losing her dad in the way I lost mine it will be worth it!!
