Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.... you guessed it I'm after your money! I'm doing a 2 day Lakeland Mountain Challenge for Breakthrough Breast Cancer on 18 and 19 August and need your support...... Day 1 – Helvellyn and Day 2 - Place Fell.

The Challenge - 20 miles and 5000 feet of ascent in 2 days, set by my old school friend Katie Jones (was Baker) to mark us both turning 40 this year (hard to believe I know!!). So yes for those who know me I do climb mountains but always on a hangover to numb the pain and never for 2 consecutive days!!

My Motivation - Quite simply my boss Elaine George. Elaine was diagnosed with breast cancer in February this year and continues to undergo gruelling chemotherapy treatment. BUT the prognosis is positive and being the rock that Elaine is she is coping extremely well with the treatment and everything that brings. Following her initial diagnosis Elaine told me how impressed she was with the care and advice she received and how much the knowledge and treatment appeared to have advanced. She specifically mentioned the information pack she was given which covered every possible question you could imagine..... she was so impressed that she thought I'd been working for them on the side as it was so comprehensive - those of you who have had the pleasure (or pain!) of working with me will understand!! So I figured as I can't work for them I better raise some money to ensure they keep up to my standards!!

My Target - I have to raise a minimum £250 but want to double it to £500. My sponsor pack talks about baking cakes and holding coffee mornings to raise money but I think its much more efficient if you just donate direct via my Just Giving Page ;-)
