Story
At the beginning of September I had a major operation that lead to further issues & I have been off work for a month. I am now recovering, but feeling battered and bruised so I have not been able to do my swimathon.
I was going to attempt to complete the swimathon whilst on holiday in November, but due to the issues I have had I am unable to do so.
When I have made a full recovery I will be able to complete the swimathon. I have done a quarter of it already, so not much more to go (haha)
Thank you to everyone who has supported me with the swimathon and through my operation & recovery xxx
I will be attempting to swim the London Marathon. This was due to be done from 19 June 2017 - 25 June 2017, that's 241 lengths per day for 7 days at the Wycombe Leisure Centre. Due to my operation and healing process, I will be doing as much as I can without overdoing it as I don't want to cause myself any further issues or cause any damage.

I work for Coeliac UK and was asked if I would run the London Marathon in 2017, to which I responded erm...no! I know full well my knees won't hold out.. but I will swim it - how silly was that! but here I am, doing it!
So please help me reach my target of £1,000.00 for the 500,000 people that are undiagnosed.. as so many people struggle with coeliac disease and a large portion of people don't even realize they have it. So why not help me raise funds for Coeliac UK by sponsoring me and why not take the short test www.isitcoeliacdisease.org.uk in the process to help you get a better understanding of what coeliac disease is.
**Previously I said I would attempt to swim more than the marathon. Due to my health, I changed it.. I will be attempting to swim 241 lengths per day for 7 days. I have had to change the date due to hospital appointments stopping my training.
