Lewis was taken from us far to soon at the age of 25, on 30th May 2020 in a tragic accident
Lewis had always been very bright and the ideal student at school so it was no surprise that he went on to pursue a career in Teaching. He studied at York University where he achieved a first in English, and went on to become an English Teacher at Farnley Academy in Leeds. Still only in his third year Lewis was an exceptional Teacher with a gift to encourage students of all abilities and backgrounds to recognise their own potential and achieve results far higher than predicted. Along with his kind and caring nature he was an anchor for the struggling and vulnerable.
Lewis has regularly been involved in volunteering and fundraising. whilst at school he volunteered to teach IT to the older generation with Age uk, he was a volunteer reader with pupils at Henry Green School in Dagenham, he was also a volunteer for The Karen Hill Tribe in Thailand building clean water systems and ran the Amsterdam Marathon to raise funds for Cancer Research.
We are raising funds in memory and the celebration of Lewis' life for Charities close to his heart.
