A fun packed day with something for adults and children of all ages, the Garstang and District Children's Festival usually happens on Whit Monday. This year it will be Friday 3rd June. People visit from miles around to see the procession of floats filled with happy, smiling children, rose queens, bands, dancers and gymnasts from local clubs. In the afternoon there are sports and free rides and amusements on the playing field, fancy dress competitions and the procession again in the evening. This year is the 150th year of the festival, the only one locally to put on 2 processions. The festival committee is made up of local volunteers many of whom have been involved from being small children.

Our team of volunteers are starting their house to house and business collections to help contribute towards the 2022 Garstang & District Children’s Festival. We are aware that over the last couple of years people are using cash less and less so some of our collectors are able to take card donations and we have our just giving page to enable people to donate on line.
