Fundraising for Bliss
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am again running (well trying to) the 5k challenge in Hyde park on 5th September 2010.
As you may or may not remember, in September 2008 my daughter Eleanor was born, she decided she could not wait to come into the world any longer and was born 4 months early. Eleanor weighed just 392g (13 ounces). Over the following 5 months which we spent in hospital, we had lots of support from various people which included help from BLISS - the premature and sick baby charity. They provided invaluable support to us both in hospital and since. BLISS is a national charity, however each local area has their own self sufficient support group run by parents, of which I am now helping out the East Surrey group. BLISS helps Parents and whole families come to terms with the stresses of having a premature or sick baby, as well as campaigning for one to one nursing care for every baby, they provide help lines, information booklets, general support and presents for babies on Christmas day.
PLEASE help me raise money for this charity to help parents and families get through a time that is often unbearably hard and support these sick little babies.
