As many of you know, this year I've been interning with Christian Aid. It's been an amazing experience which has provided many new opportunities and taken me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to live differently. Now it's time for me to give something back!

I am participating in "Live below the Line" between the 22nd-26th April, 2013.

It's a five day challenge to live on £1 each day. I've been informed that this is super difficult, but not content to just go with the flow, I'm challenging myself to make it harder and it involves YOU!

For every £50 I raise, I'll be silent for a day. This means if I raise £250 I'll be silent for the whole five days.

I'm donating the first £50 because it's the amount of my weekly allowance left over after I've spent my £5. This means I'll definitely be quiet on Monday. However, if you'd like me to be silent for longer (and most of you will....) please donate to make it a reality!

My idea isn't a new one - I've fasted and been silent for 24 hours before (and it was difficult!). But I've got a choice to do this.

Across our world, many individuals have little food and water; no voice to stand up for themselves or their rights. Christian Aid work with partners to give empowerment to individuals and communities so they can begin to lift themselves out of their poverty.
