I have taken the plunge and I am going for the half marathon. I want my efforts to count for something and I know that Macmillan nurses really make a difference.
I am training regularly and I have managed to run about 12K so far....not enough yet but I will keep you posted.
It has been a tough couple of weeks, sadly, my Mum died and my Dad is ill in hospital. I haven't run as much as I had planned. My Mum was a determined character so I am determined to see this through...so come on, give me a boost and sponsor me!!

I have managed to keep training while I have been busy at work and at the weekends. It is paying off because I can run a bit faster and a bit further. I am running in a 10K race on July 11th with my daughter and her friend. I think I need some new trainers!

Well, what a day, I ran the British 10k with my daughter, Sarah and her friend, Lauren. We all had good times and a great day. New trainers and a time of 1.07 so on course for 2.30 for the half marathon in September. I am working really hard so please make it worthwhile and sponsor me!!!

Only three weeks to go! I have kept my training up all through the summer and I can run for 11 miles now. Still slow but I am getting there and getting stronger all the time. Some days I feel very confident and others I am scared to death! Keep me going by sponsoring me and pass on the web page so all your friends and colleagues can do the same.
