Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have just completed the Hadrian's wall cycle ride successfully! After 184 miles on a bicycle seat my body is sore, but I must say my heart goes out to everyone who sponsored me! I am happy in the thought that all your very generous donations will go towards finding a cure for parkinson's.
I wish Dad was still here so I could tell him the tales about the endless rain and the amusing characters we met along the way... he would of loved that. He would of smiled and laughed with his blue eyes twinkling at me.
If you are new to my page:
my Dad was always fun loving and full of laughter. Unfortunately he passed away very suddenly this year. He suffered with Parkinson's. He was diagnosed at 30 and lived with the condition into his early 60's. He was taking 8 different types of medication three times a day and was virtually house bound - watching someone you love gradually deteriorate is heart breaking. I miss my Dad so much.
I would like to raise money for this charity so that a cure can be found sooner rather than later. Parkinson's is a very debilitating condition for anyone to deal with.
My partner and I have just cycled 184 miles from Ravenglass in Cumbria to South Shields in Tynemouth. We did this over a period of 4 days. We should cycle approx 40-50 miles a day.
