Unfortunately Ive had 2 pull out of the cycle because Ive some health issues myself. I want 2 thank everyone sincerely 4 donating 2 me & reassure you that every penny has gone 2 the 3 cancer charities as planned anyway. Total funds raised to date were £850!! Thanks everyone! xxx

Hi, my name is Jo. I have a dear friend who is affected by cancer and I have had personal issues myself with various traumatic times in my life. All of these reasons are contributing to me wanting to do this. Below is a message I posted on my personal Facebook page during March 2012. It may help people to understand a bit about where I'm coming from on a personal level...

My name is Johanne and I have battled with depression for 4 years after suffering abuse from my biological father. In this time I gained 9 stone through drinking and becoming a recluse and became extremely unfit. I have recovered from my depression finally after a year of counselling and have since lost 2.5 stone. I'm trying to work my way up to a charity event that I've decided to commit to in June 2013. It's cycling Kenya for cancer research. Approx 400km.

I have made a Facebook page about it and desperately need some help with getting my page known about also. It is very hard to get support when you've only got a little voice!
