Story
Let’s go again!
Not sure if I’m crazy for doing this again but one thing I know is it will all be worth while. I’ll be running London Marathon on the 2nd of October for an amazing charity which means so much to me in so many ways.
Back in 2019 I ran the Brighton Marathon for East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services. I have decided to run for them again.
ESDAS is a charity so close to my heart and raising money 3 years ago is just as important in raising money this time. COVID has increased the figures of domestic abuse and the amount of enquiries charities like ESDAS have received. This means it’s even more vital to make an impact in change.
Everyone has the right to live free from fear, threats and abuse. Everyone deserves a happy ending 💕
I’m running to raise money to help make this happen - No one should suffer in silence🙋🏽♀️
One in 6-7 men and one in 4 women will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime. This we can’t initially stop but can ensure that people can move on from it and get the help and advice to do so. I hope any bit of support will help victims and survivors stop running away from their demons and running to a happy ever after they deserve.
ESDAS stands for East Surrey domestic abuse services, they provide outreach and associated services to adults and children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse and violence living or working within East Surrey. They provide advice, advocacy, information and support via face-to-face appointments, over the telephone, text and email. Our associated services include a Children's Service, a Counselling Service, Volunteering Service, a programme of Group Work and Debt Advice.
