Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I
will be running the 2020 London Marathon in support of Leukaemia Cancer Care in
memory of my Grandma Eve, who sadly passed away in 2011 from this disease.

Leukaemia is a cancer which starts in blood-forming tissue,
usually the bone marrow. It leads to the over-production of abnormal white
blood cells, the part of the immune system which defends the body against
infection. 4668  people die from Leukaemia every year. That’s 13 people a
day, and last year the charity raised around half a million pounds from the
London Marathon. The money goes towards Improving life expectancy through
earlier diagnosis, access to effective treatments, information and support. I’d
love to be able to raise much-needed funds for a cause very close to mine and
my family’s heart.

This will be my first marathon, and for those that know me
I’m not usually the first one to be volunteering to go for a run! However,
for such a brilliant cause, I’m looking forward to the challenge that lies
ahead and to raising as much money and awareness as possible.

My Grandma Eve, was a fun outgoing Grandma who always had
time for everyone no matter what time of day it was. I loved spending time with
her and always had so much fun. Due to this cruel disease our time with her was
shorter than any of us were expecting.
