Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Next May, myself and 3 other middle aged men will be riding from John O'Groats to Lands End in 10 days. That's a total of 990 miles that we will drag our sorry asses up hills and through miserable British weather from one end of the island to the other. Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Make A Wish foundation that grants wishes to young people (aged between 3 & 17) who are fighting life threatening conditions. The wish can be anything from meeting their fave celeb to a holiday that their family would never be able to afford and the memories for the family may be the best memory they have of a family united in happiness.
In January of this year on a trip to trek up to Everest Base Camp to raise funds for Scope, I met a remarkable man (Tony, who "arranged" this bike ride) who has a child with severe cerebral palsy (a link can be found to his page for more details from the Six Men In Lycra team page) and our friendship and combined love of pain and cycling has inspired me to do this to raise funds for Make A Wish to help them help more young children realise a dream.
So please dig deep and donate whatever small amount (or huge great wacking amount) you can to help.
Many thanks for visiting and please pass the word.
Jim
