Story
Hello everyone,
2017 continues my running journey supporting The Rob Hawthorne Action Heart Fund with all proceeds going directly to Action Heart (Russell's Hall Hospital, Dudley, West Mids) who provide such sterling work supporting and rehabilitating cardiac patients.
Rob's personal story is quite unique, suffering a Double Heart-Attack in 2004 at the remarkably young age of 28. Fortunately, he survived and after triple stent surgery, he made a full recovery and some 13 years on, continues to enjoy a normal, healthy active lifestyle also indebted to the support of Action Heart.
So in an effort to continue raising awareness in particular to the younger audience, I have a busy running schedule this year, having committed to the following events:
Action Heart 5M
Reading Half Marathon
Milton Keynes Marathon
Stirling Marathon
Loch Ness Marathon
To date, over £10,000 has been raised with every penny making a real difference going directly to Action Heart, so you can be assured all end-users (patients) will receive the full benefit from your kind generosity.
Thanks very much!
All the best,
Jim
