Sheffield Half Marathon 2015 · 12 April 2015 ·

We are here at every step to support you with and beyond cancer.

Story

This year Matt Winter And Jim Lester are going to run the Sheffield Half marathon in April followed by a 200 mile mountain bike ride from Newcastle to Edinburgh in May.

Training starts now with long distance running and then as soon as the half marathon is completed we will be straight onto our bikes to get some miles in.

The half marathon is going to be a serious challenge this year starting in the city centre then climbing to the top of Ringinglow Road and then back down again. Jim has not done a half marathon distance since he was 17 when he was considerably slimmer and fitter so he will need to do a lot of training in the next few months. Matt's Last outing was over 10 years ago.

Matt is  a much better runner than Jim so to even things out he has persuaded Matt to take part in a 3 day bike ride

After Jim completed the Toughmudder  12 mile obstacle race in 2013 he has been looking for a new challenge and this is it.

Please help encourage us to complete these challenges and supporting Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, the only dedicated charity for the hospital, supporting world class cancer research and helping to improve the treatment and care of patients living with cancer.

We all need your support!
