Story
Hi thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm competing in this years Edinburgh Marathon on the 26 May in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support. In 2002 my father was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and died in 2005. MacMillan nurses where a great help and support to my father and family during that time. I'm sure you would agree with me that this is a worthwhile cause and all donations are very much appreciated to help continue the great work provided by MacMillan nurses.
One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. This means they need more than medical help. They also need practical, emotional and financial support. MacMillan Cancer Support provides this and push for better cancer care.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks
Jim :)
