Story
This August 4th I'm riding 100 miles out from London to Surrey, up a few hills and and back to London in support of Anthony Nolan bone marrow charity.
As many visiting this page will know, more than ten years ago my father recieved a bone marrow transplant courtesy of Anthony Nolan. They really are a fantastic cause that changes lives for recipients and their families. It is an honour for me to be able to give a little support back to these guys who have given us so much support.
The ride is roughly the route of the 2012 Olympic road race except we're only doing Box hill once and taking in the much tougher Leith hill. Hopefully we'll see a fun but punishing day out and raise some money for this fantastic cause. With the ride to the start and back I'll be getting in about 125 miles on the day.
If you donate think about me early that Sunday morning, stepping out the front door at 5am, probably still half asleep.
Thanks for your support,
Jim
