Thanks very much for visiting my London Marathon JustGiving page.  Sunday 25th April 2010 was the big 26.2 mile day! 

I ran the Marathon for ASSERT, the Angelman Syndrome Support Education and Research Trust.  Charity begins at home and ASSERT certainly helped Amanda and me deal with the shock when Isabelle was first diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome (AS).  They are the only AS charity in UK and offer useful support, advice, medical articles and run a seminar to educate parents. Issy is five now and attends a special school close to our house in Salisbury.  She is completely unaware of the chaos her mental and physical disabilities leave in their wake but fortunately she is constantly happy.
