We help children with Type 1 diabetes to access lifesaving insulin and education

Story

The Pendsey Trust is a small family run charity who support families in India who have a child diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

They match sponsors with one of the families and the sponsor will pay for basic diabetic supplies for the child and also support to make sure that the children can continue with their schooling despite the diagnosis.

I have sponsored a young boy called Nilesh since 2016 when he was diagnosed aged 9 and continue to do so but I am trying to raise additional funds as a recent change of donation service from another company to Just Giving has meant some donations for some of the families have been missed. A donation of £16 will cover the treatment for one child for 1 month.

As  for the volunteering part I will be spending time monitoring the habitat of reptiles, mammals and birds at a nature reserve in the Costa Rican rainforest.  All funds for the trip are already paid separately by me and all of your donations will go directly to the Pendsey Trust.
