The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am running the London Marathon on 25th April 2010 in aid of St John Ambulance. These people are largely volunteers, and provide services such as first-aid training to people who care for relatives and friends, first aid in sporting events, and they save hundreds of lives every year. They attend to some 125,000 patients each year. They will of course also be on hand to assist me if I collapse during the actual marathon! They have kindly offered me a place to run for them in the Marathon, and I want to raise as much money for them as possible.

As those who know me are aware, I used to smoke 20 a day and running does not come naturally to me so you can rest assured I will be in a lot of pain during the marathon and this WILL be a struggle! :-) The most I've done is a half-marathon and that was bad enough! I will also have to train hard during the cold Winter months so show your support by sponsoring me as much as you can. I know it's the credit crunch which is why I've got in early!

Thanks in advance,

Watson, xx
