On the 23rd June we will be doing a 5km (200 lengths) sponsored swim to raise money for the Fairfield Association in Lancaster. The Association is a registered charity, with the following aim:

The preservation, enhancement and maintenance of public areas and amenities in the City of Lancaster, in particular the Fairfield area, for the benefit of the public.  

The Fairfield Association are currently trying to buy land south of Fauna by the end of June 2013 to significantly extend the area of nature reserve, trebling the current size of Fauna and adding more paths, ponds and other natural habitats for local and visiting wildlife, also within the Morecambe Bay Nature Improvement Area.
