Jill's Sheffield Poem-a-thon for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Sheffield Poem-a-thon for Refugees and Asylum Seekers · 2 April 2016
Some people run marathons, some people swim oceans ...for me the big challenge will be reading some of my own poetry out loud and in public at our very own Sheffield Poem-a-thon.
48 poets will be passing on the baton of words for a non –stop poetry experience at the Art House in Sheffield from 10am till 6pm on Saturday April 2nd to raise money for destitute asylum seekers.Come along and enjoy the day, but first do sponsor me in meeting my challenge.
I volunteer for ASSIST Sheffield and know the money we raise will be well spent on helping people who have lost everything to feel like human beings again. ASSIST helps those who receive no benefits, are not allowed to work, to register themselves as homeless or to be placed in local authority night shelters.
Please do sponsor me if you can .. every little helps
