Story
2012 here we go!!! Not quite Olympic standard but I have decided to do ‘The Marathon’ (cue music).
I currently have a double sided training timetable blu-tacked to the fridge. The next 6 months of my life has been mapped out in felt tips and glittery stickers. So to all of you lovely people living in Canterbury prepare yourselves for possible marathon chats and how many minutes it takes me to do a mile etc etc. Mister George has already found this out and so far is bearing up well.
I’m going to be running for the RDA which is a fantastic charity that gives disabled children and adults the opportunity to ride horses and ponies in a supportive environment. My mum works with the RDA in Scotland along with the other ladies at Terally stables, and on some occasions I have judged fancy dress competitions and sold soup to help out with the fundraising and hoping to do a lot more when I next visit.
Please, please, please check out their website it is for a brilliant cause.
So apart from the timetable of doom (photo’s to come) I have also joined a running club so that I’m not running alone in the evenings. This makes it a lot easier and now that I’m a member I’ve also got a members high vis flashing armband which is very festive. Sunday mornings are the long runs and on Christmas Day I am running 11 miles!! So to start the ball rolling the first person to donate a fiver or more on this page I will dedicate my Christmas run to you wearing a Santa hat (again will take photo evidence) with your name on, how’s that?
I will try and keep you all updated with how it’s all going. I shall try to keep it chirpy and not bore you too much.
Thanks for reading. xx
