We provide education, therapy and wellbeing to help bullied and traumatised children

Story

I have been working in Red Balloon for over 15 years. In this time I have seen many of our students go from feeling that life isn't worth it and feeling sad, lonely and depressed to growing into amazing young people with incredible skills and abilities, who regain their confidence, self esteem and manage to reintegrate themselves into society.

We just opened a new centre to help more young people who are out of education. This year has been a very hard year for so many reasons, including the pandemic, and like many in the world, our students have suffered because of it. I want to raise funds to continue supporting our young people and offer them better chances to do well in life.  We can only do this with your support.

Jane and I  enjoy cycling but aren't experienced cyclists. We each run a school and work full time in what's been a super difficult year for schools. We will cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats in July. That is around 1000 miles... Please support us!!

About the charity

16,000 children in the UK are so badly bullied that they cannot go to school. The aim of Red Balloon is to aid their recovery by providing them with an 'intensive care' full-time academic and personal and social education programme so that they can return to mainstream school or go on to college.
