Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Hi!

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.

Despite being embarrassingly unfit I have decided to partake in a London to Brighton cycle (my first long distance ride) on Sunday 8 September in a bid to raise money for Sense.

Sense work with both children and adults with deafblindness, providing a huge and varied support network which enables people to enjoy everyday activities which most of us take for granted. I think that the work done by Sense is inspiring and ask you to please dig deep and spare anything you can for this amazing charity!

I will be cycling as part of a team, starting in South London we’ll be cycling the 55 miles to Brighton (hopefully with a cold beer at the finish line... *hint hint* to those coming to see us in!!)

I am also using this as a personal challenge. I have been training as often as I can, usually around Richmond, or any other green spaces I can get to in London, and I'm really hoping that I can get a good time. Wish me luck!!
