Thanks for having a look at my JustGiving Page! The money donated through JustGiving is going directly to BMS World Mission and will count towards the £4350 that I have to raise as a contribution towards the total cost of the programme.

So, I'm a member of a team of four girls going on a Christian gap year to Jamaica with BMS Action Teams. I will receive specialised training in September, spend six months in Jamaica (from October to April) and will then be touring churches, schools and youth groups throughout the UK in May and June.

While in Jamaica we will live and work in Mandeville from October - December and in Montego Bay from January - March. We will be working with local churches and will be contributing on congregational levels including helping to lead worship and mission. We will also be working with the wider Jamaican Baptist Union which will involve working with youth through youth related activities including retreats, conferences, mission projects etc.

I will be keeping a blog on the BMS website while I'm away and on tour. It can be found at www.actionteamblogs.org from September.

Just so you know anyone who is a 'connected person' (i.e relative) can't Gift Aid their donations! If you would like to donate a larger amount of money (over £50) please give it to me in person or send it as a check made payable to BMS World Mission with a letter saying it's for my BMS Action Teams placement.
