Story
Myself and my family have sadly lost my Nanna and Grandad within the space of just under 1 year and 1 month. Losing my Nanna only yesterday and my Grandad in December 2019.
Sue Ryder for both my Nanna and Grandad gave the best end of life care and myself and my family cannot thank them enough.
Sadly due to COVID only 2 people was allowed to visit my Nanna which meant me and Sarah never got to say goodbye or support my mum when she went to go see her but the nurses was amazing and treat my mum and Nanna like friends.
Those who know me know I only run to the fridge so this is a massive deal to me to be running 10K. It’s going to be a hard journey but I’m going to be running this with my sister, it will be difficult emotionally and mentally but we WILL do it for the staff at Wheatfields Hospice and for my amazing Nanna and Grandad.
Please help, I understand people cannot afford much at the moment but even £1 would make a difference.
The work they give to patients regardless if it’s end of life or a break is outstanding and they run from 58% fundraising.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
THANK YOU ❤️
