Jess' story - I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when in 2009, when I was 11. Going from being a happy child to doing blood tests and injections sometimes more than 6 times a day is not easy and is life-changing. In 2012, I was fortunate enough to be given an insulin pump, a new piece of technology created to make life so much easier. JDRF is a leading researcher into new technologies and trials for people with type 1 diabetes and without their research, I wouldn't be able to have a pump! That's why my mum, Lynda, and I have decided to abseil 100 metres down The Spinnaker tower. By doing this abseil, we hope to show that diabetes won't hold us back! Please donate to this amazing cause to show your support!
Thank you,
Jess and Lynda!
