Story
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!
In August 2012, I'm going to be taking on the biggest challenge of my life so far and will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise vital funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF).
Meningitis Research Foundation funds research to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, and to improve survival rates and outcomes. The Foundation promotes education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and gives support to people affected.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world, at a height of 5,895m (19,341ft) above sea level. This will be a tough but amazing experience for myself and I will massively appreciate your support in this! Any donations, as small or as generous as you like, could really make a difference and would mean alot to everybody involved with the MRF.
£10 would cover the cost of an hour's in-depth support for those suffering and their families.
£25 would fund 1 hour of a typical research project, helping every little step of the way towards better treatment and better prevention for meningitis and septacaemia sufferers.
You're more than welcome to contact me for any more information on the charity or the challenge itself at: jesstoomey@live.co.uk
Thankyou so much for any help you can give!
