Story
I began training for wheelchair racing when I joined my new school 'Sherborne Girls' in September. With the help of SASP and Yeovil Olmpiads Athletics Club I have been training in a borrowed race chair over shorter distances on track; 5km on road will be a real challenge for me but I'm determined to suceed!
The RAF Benevolent Fund is a fantastic charity who exist to support people currently serving in the RAF, their families and those who previously served in the force.
They have three main goals, or charitable objects. These are the reasons that we exist as a charity.
- The first is to maintain and preserve the RAF Memorial in London on behalf of the nation.
- The second is to provide assistance to the RAF family, when they are in need.
- The third is to support the morale and wellbeing of the serving RAF.
