Story

I don't really have a story as such. I'm lucky enough to not know anyone too close to me that has needed to rely on Great Ormond Street's amazing work.

I do however know the work they do is industry-leading and the research they undertake has saved countless lives globally.

Although they receive funding from the NHS, a lot of the work they do isn't covered by the money of tax payers but from donations and fundraising efforts like this. Without these extra pots of cash the hospital wouldn't be able to provide the services it currently does.

That's why we're trying to raise a decent amount of money, so GOSH can continue to provide accommodation for parents with incredibly sick children so they can be close-by, so there is a private room for families to hear challenging news (and for these conversations not to have to happen in corridors) and of course, buy and service the high-tech medical equipment needed to make these poorly kids better.
