Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many as you would know Jessica was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) 3 years ago. Jess was an outgoing and active little girl but JIA changed her life significantly and ours. Jess has been incredibly strong but has suffered both significant physical and emotional pain. It has knocked confidence and made her deeply unhappy at times. Just over a year ago Jess also fell and this aggravated her condition. It was heartbreaking to see her struggling to get around and be confined to a wheelchair over that time and it put the whole family under pressure. It is only with the support of Alder Hey, CCAA and Versus Arthritis that we’ve been able to progress so far from those difficult months, to be the confident, happy and outgoing little girl we had so longed to see again. We’re so very proud of Jess and the way she always wants to make sure that other children who face similar challenges can get the help and support that she has been so fortunate to get. During this lockdown Jess was thinking about what she could do to help other kids who are facing similar situations and came up with the idea of celebrating her mobility (something we will never ever take for granted now!) and raise money for these fantastic causes!
Any support is massively appreciated!!
Lots of love Ana & Patrick (and Jess!!)
