Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page in support of Parkinson's Disease research at the University of Sheffield.

I'm going to be taking on a running challenge to support the "Couch to 5K and raise £5K for Parkinson's research" campaign. Any donations are hugely appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal!

My grandad died of Parkinson's disease when I was very young, and even today, two people are diagnosed every hour - that's 18,000 people every year, with currently 145,000 people in the UK suffering from the disease. It's estimated that 1 in 37 of us will develop it in our lifetimes.

New treatments are sorely needed, and the University of Sheffield is at the forefront of Parkinson's research. If you'd like to help support them in their efforts to mind medical treatments for this disease, I'd be very grateful for any donation.
