Story
Our lovely, kind, beautiful Jeremy passed away peacefully on 28th July 2016 after a two-year battle with cancer.
A few months after his diagnosis with cancer we visited the Penny Brohn Cancer Centre in Bristol - and were blown away by the kindness they showed us. Their Living Well With Cancer programme (given for free) was a real comfort and learning experience for us both. I do believe it was a turning point in Jeremy's cancer journey.
Following the visit, Jeremy became a Friend of the charity - donating to it every month. This enabled Penny Brohn to then offer the same programme to someone else battling cancer.
Not many people know about this centre - and yet the work they do is so important and provides so much comfort to cancer patients and their carers.
We were planning to go back there for another visit - but we never got there.
I know that Jeremy would be so happy to see that we are raising money for the wonderful Penny Brohn UK - so please dig deep and donate. Cancer will touch all our lives at some stage - whether ourselves or our loved ones. Penny Brohn may be the place that you go to to seek comfort and solace the way we did.
In the meantime, I know Jeremy is now pain-free and at peace - and will always be watching over me, his daughters (Jenny, Katie, Amanda), grand-daughter (Amber) and family and friends - as he sits up there drinking his pint of beer - smiling his beautiful smile down at us.
Jeremy - Love you with all my heart...and more.
