Fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK
Story
Hello All,
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page Jensons Fight to find a cure.
We have set up this just giving page to help find a cure for a condition our three year old little boy (Jenson) has been diagnosed with called Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a muscle wasting condition that results in premature death. The death age can vary from any where in there teens to early thirty's. Cause of death is normally Cardiac and/or respiratory failure due to the heart being the most important muscle in the human body.
Sadly for Jenson and many others like him there is as of yet no known cure for this awful condition.
I cannot even begin to tell you the heart ache and pain this has caused us as parents and the rest of the family. Soul destroying does not even come close, but yet we as parents have to think and act positive for our poor boy every single day. .
Muscular Dystrophy UK is a great charity that is helping us daily by giving us help and support but more importantly HOPE! They hope to one day find a cure or at the very least slow this awful condition down. They are already slowing it down in many boys so we have our fingers crossed Jenson will soon get his miracle. This great charity is sadly desperately needing funds to help keep researching for the cure. Every penny we fundraise here will go directly to some of the worlds best researchers and scientists.
