We fund biomedical research into ME to create a strategy for cure/treatment

Story

My sister has had ME for nearly 16 years, the last nine mainly severe. She has been too ill to leave her home now for four years and has been bedridden for the last 15 months. More biomedical research is desperately needed for this woefully under researched and neglected illness. Invest in ME are raising funds to initiate a trial of the drug rituxamab by top researchers at UCL. Rituxamab has shown promise in earlier smaller trials in helping people with this illness improve and a larger trial will help to establish whether this drug could be a treatment for people with ME. I, my husband, and my friends wish to raise some money to go towards the trial as well as raise awareness of this very debilitating illness and have set ourselves the target of walking 18 miles on one of the days over the Easter weekend.  We would be so grateful if you would make a donation, however small. A very big thank you from us all.
