We have a combined age of 87 (work that one out peeps) and we are aiming to walk 20 miles (thats each, not combined by the way!), joined by 1998 other people on the London Night Hike 2009. One of us hasn't walked more than 5 miles in one go for the last few decades, and the other one prefers any means of transport other than walking! But we thought we'd give it a go anyway!!! The main reason we are putting ourselves through this is to raise money for Maggie's Centres.

 "A Maggie’s Centre is a place to turn to for help with any of the problems, small or large, associated with cancer. Under one roof you can access help with information, benefits advice, psychological support both individually and in groups, courses and stress reducing strategies.  You don’t have to make an appointment, or be referred and everything offered is free of charge. 

It is there for anybody who feels the need for help, which includes those who love and look after someone with cancer, who often feel as frightened and vulnerable as those who actually have the disease. A Maggie’s Centre will be many things to many people.  It is there for anybody to use in the way they want to. There isn’t a one size fits all recipe for how you live with cancer. Everybody needs to find their own way.

The job of the professionals at Maggie’s is to listen to you, to help you find out what you want and give you the tools to help yourself."

So thats where you come in! Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and if you are a taxpayer tick that little giftaid box and the charity will get even more money.

The brunette in the team is very much looking forward to feeding her passion of checking out the houses and buildings en route, and the blonde will be desperately trying to remember where things are in her new home town! Anyone who is based in , come down on the night just to check we're actually doing it! This is not a hoax!!!!
