I recently visited one of the The Blue Cross's Animal Hospitals and was very moved by the work they do for animals, making sure all pets have access to care, whatever their owner's circumstances. The charity also have animal adoption centres nationwide and three equine centres. The staff are dedicated and passionate about animals, like myself, so when I heard I could take part in the Hadrian's Wall trek I jumped at the chance - even though it will likely kill me! Of course, my dog Bailey insisted on accompanying me when she found out we would be raising funds for our furry friends - and besides, she can help pull me up the hills!
