Story
I'm 'Walking Together 'with my lovely daughter in law Michelle and Paul, Lee's brother plus Michelle's family who all loved Lee. We're doing this to help raise funds in remembrance of my darling son Lee Spencer Jones who died in January this year aged only 47. We all love and miss him so much.
Sadly, it's too late for Lee but hopefully, funding will enable earlier detection of Bowel Cancer, especially in younger people.
Lee had 5 good years from his diagnosis and lived his 'best life' during this time, due mainly to his positive attitude despite the roller coaster ride and all the side effects from 109 chemo sessions. Lee always said, "mum, please don't make my illness the centre of your life each day, I'm not, I'm getting on with life and Michelle and I are going to do all the things we want to do". And they did.
Despite faith, there are no miracles but if cancer is diagnosed in the early stages, you can live with it. There is hope and you must never give up or give in.
This one is for you Jonesy and your courageous fight, we're all so proud of you. X X X
