I'm running the London Marathon on 22nd April to raise money for St John's Hospice.  I've run 2 marathons in the past, but this is the first time in London and I am really excited to be taking part in such a huge event.  Hopefully the buzz of running in my own city will help me run that bit faster!  It's been a bit of a challenge fitting in the training but the thought of completing the London marathon and raising money for St John's Hospice has kept me going.

I'm running in memory of my mother-in-law Lizzie Trowbridge, who was cared for at home by the St John's Hospice team at the end of her life in August 2010.  I will never forget the care they provided for both Lizzie and the family, bringing warmth and comfort during the most difficult of times.

The hospice movement was very important to Lizzie, and I have seen firsthand the difference this support can make to people's lives. Please help St John's Hospice to carry on this work by donating anything you can.
